mini-post: HIV cure - sort of an update

Hey, this isn't directly related to my before-last article BUT it seems that a German man got completely rid of HIV so I just wanted to give you the link:

  2. Might that be the step to a cure for everybody? I personally believe it was rather luck that the stem cells helped him get rid of HIV.

  4. I hear this happen time to time. I think that as medical advances increase and there are more people who carry the gene that makes them immune to HIV (this will taken even more time of course), HIV and AIDS will become something that is little more than a pain in the ass.

  9. Whoa that makes sense, i was just thinking, how did some one survived the great epidemics of ancient times, and what do you know they still live now making some people immune to some diseases

  18. I had a friend who a few years ago claimed she had a cousin who was involved in some research who now no longer has HIV.
